Mill Creek Elem. Mentoring Program

Yesterday afternoon the Varsity team took a short trip across Shively to Mill Creek Elem. School.  This was the first visit in a partnership between our baseball program and the elementary school.  Through this mentoring program we hope both our players and those elementary students get to know each other and create a bond for years to come.  Each player was paired with an individual student and will participate in a variety of activities over the next few months.  These include reading, studying, tutoring, and just getting to know each other through recreational activities as well.

We are excited to form this partnership and look forward to seeing this grow!

22nd District Tournament Changes

With the threat of rain later in the week and Doss (District Tournament Host) not having lights there have been some changes to the schedule this week.  Butler will now play today at 4:00 p.m. at Doss and the Championship has been moved to Wed. at 5:30 p.m.  Also, please keep in mind there still may have a home game at Milan Perpich Field on Memorial Day.  All District Tournament winners will host a game at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial Day for the first round of the Regional Tournament.

Lastly, Coach Wolff wanted to remind everyone that JV and Freshman players need to turn in their uniforms and clean out their lockers by Wed.  They can bring their uniforms his classroom throughout the day and they need to be in a bag with their name on the outside of the bag.
